myDeen Magazine is a monthly children’s educational activity book that encourages Islamic education through the use of stories, puzzles, reminders, games, crafts and much more. myDeen will help your children grow spiritually and engage them in activities that instill positive and practical messages each month. It is technically an Islamic activity book mailed out every month, but for the sake of making it fun for our children, we call it a magazine.
Three magazines are published every month that target children of different age groups starting from 3-5, 6-8 & 9-12 years old.
myDeen Magazines contain informative yet enjoyable lessons for Muslim children, primarily in the English language, that aim to nurture their inquiring minds and remind them of Islamic principles to apply into their daily lives. Using jokes, puzzles, art work, stories and articles, myDeen Magazine is an interactive way to further their learning whether at home or on the go.
Children by nature are known to be very curious and possess unique imaginations. This is important to us as we try to encourage both qualities in order for them to learn and retain the knowledge in myDeen magazines. We focus on creating each page of the magazine to target the different aspects of a child's mind to ensure that the lesson or theme of the month is understood by the end and hopefully put into practice. The content is age appropriate, fun & easy to understand for kids between 3 to 12 years old, while at the same time challenging in certain areas to promote further learning. Many of our subscribers are over the age of 11 as well, since they just love to complete our activities every month.
Some of the themes we have covered in our previous editions include:
- Be Like the Bee
- Sharing is Caring
- Islamic History
- Women in Islam
- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
- Gift from Allah (swt) [Salah]
- Hygiene and much more!
Furthermore, every month we include our trademark Salah Journal for you kids to track their prayers. We also include 1-2 contents with prize money in each of our magazines. All our subscribers have an opportunity to participate and submit pictures of their art work, and/or stories that will be featured in upcoming editions. Through these competitions, we encourage participation, build self-confidence and create an excitement for the next issue to come for your child(ren).
