Our story

The recurring problem we found parents facing in their quest to educate their children Islamically was finding creative and engaging Islamic content that didn’t seem boring or repetitive. We wanted to tackle this, so we brainstormed to come up with a solution.

At the time, I was volunteering at the Islamic summer school where my husband-to-be worked, Habib.

We knew we had to develop better ideas to engage and educate our youth. But how?

Before having children of our own, my husband and I organized programmes and meet-ups to provide an Islamic educational experience that both parents and their children could enjoy by developing fun and unique learning strategies. Our programmes in the city of London were always full, and we had a long waitlist. We’ve come a long way since. Stepping into the role of parenthood soon after inspired us to take our programmes and turn them into something that parents all over the world could benefit from.

We found myDeen with the vision to provide an exciting and fun educational experience to children and instil in them the love of Islam.

The concept of a monthly magazine sounded like the perfect solution for parents struggling to engage their children in Islamic education while keeping it interesting and enjoyable. We thought of how our children would feel if they got a fun-filled activity-based magazine delivered to them every month personalized with their name on it, and we loved the idea!

myDeen was created with our collective experience of more than eight years working with Muslim youth of different ages and our comprehensive understanding of the type of education being offered and needed in the western education system.

Our mission is to educate our Muslim youth by delivering the perfect balance of Islamic principles and changing cultural values.

With each passing year, we’ve grown as a company, improving the way we teach the children of our generation about our beautiful deen. We have seen real transformations in both children and even a few adults in their way of understanding and practising the religion of Islam.

Our project is now recognised worldwide, and we have mailed over 200,000 plus magazines to children all over the world. Alhamdulillah!

We are thankful to Allah ﷻ for giving us the time and ability to compile and present our work through the editions. This is such an enriching experience, and we can’t wait to hear how your children find their monthly MyDeen magazines!
